Meet our founder

Rachel Patton is a Hobart-based Life Doula, coach and women's circle facilitator. With a background spanning three decades in career coaching, human resources and people leadership. Rachel has spent her professional life supporting and coaching others through change and chaos while helping to navigate uncertainty, find clarity and move forward with intention.

It is this deep understanding of everyday life, in all its forms, that drew her to the work she does today and makes her such a strong advocate and resource.

A mother of 3, yoga teacher, end-of-life doula and former Police Officer, Rachel brings a rare combination of groundedness, compassion and lived experience to her doula work.

At the EveryDay Doula, Rachel creates a space where nothing is rushed and no one feels unsupported. Through her doula work she offers presence, practical support, guidance and a no fuss methodology.

Her approach is warm, unhurried and deeply human, rooted in the belief that every woman deserves to be heard, supported and allowed to live her best life.

What is a doula?

The word comes from the Greek, meaning “a woman who serves” and while most people associate the role with birth, the concept has grown far beyond that. A doula doesn’t replace a trained or qualified person, they instead fill the space those roles cannot. A Doula offers practical and emotional support, non-judgmental guidance and a steady, caring presence during times that can feel overwhelming, uncertain and even frightening.

At their core, a doula helps you feel informed and supported.
